Doukenie Winery

The Doukenie brand was stuck in a different decade, didn't reflect the quality of the wines, and could not stand up to it's peers on a shelf. It was time for a brand and packaging refresh.

The old branding was heavily influenced by the owners' greek heritage. With the refresh we wanted something that still related to that heritage but was more modern and fresh.

We pulled inspiration from the thick bars of the Greek flag and the iconic silo that sits right outside the tasting room. We created wine tiers with the labels, also pulling inspiration from the views of the rows of vines that appear to go right up to the base of the mountains the vineyards sit at the foot of.

Brand Elements

We customized a font for their logo and incorporated the vineyard rows and mountains into an icon that gets used on labels and capsules. That same imagery was adapted into a more graphic form and used on their first tier wine labels and capsules. The response to the refresh has been overwhelmingly positive.
